
Turkey Bacon Avocado Sandwich, Carrot, Hummus, Pickle, Sparkling Chia Fresca

Ingredients
Sandwich
- 2 slices Bacon
- 4 slices Sourdough bread lightly toasted
- 1 TBSP Mayonnaise
- 6 leaves Romaine lettuce cut to fit the bread
- 4 slices Tomato
- Salt
- Black pepper
- 6 oz Deli turkey breast
- 1/2 Avocado pitted and sliced
Sides
- 1 cup Carrots peeled and cut into sticks (or use baby carrots)
- 1/3 cup Hummus
- 2 Pickle spears
Sparkling Chia Fresca
- ½ cup Lemon juice fresh squeezed
- 2 tsp Maple syrup or honey
- ½ tsp Chia seeds
- Pinch Salt
- 16 oz Sparkling water
- Fresh mint for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare all ingredients as described above.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook the bacon on both sides until crispy. Drain on paper towels.
- Toast the sourdough bread to your preferred level of crispness.
- Spread mayonnaise on one side of each toasted sourdough slice.
- Build each sandwich: place one slice of bread (condiment side up), then layer lettuce, tomato, turkey, bacon, and avocado. Top with the second slice of bread (condiment side down). Cut in half.
- Combine all the ingredients for the chia fresca. Stir well and let sit for 5 minutes until the chia seeds begin to bloom.
- Serve the sandwich with carrots, hummus, pickle, and sparkling chia fresca.
